Lying On Dirt Pile In LA, This Cutie Was Barely Able To Lift Her Head, Then Her Angel Arrived
Hidden deep in the bushes, a tiny pup trembled with fear as cars and footsteps rushed past. She was easy to overlook, almost invisible, until one kind stranger slowed down and saw her.
That single moment sparked a call to Arturo Flores from Logan’s Legacy 29. He didn’t hesitate. When he arrived, he found a fragile little soul, scared and unsure of the world she’d just entered.

No one knew how long she’d been there, but one thing was clear: she needed help immediately.
Arturo raced to the scene, and there she was: a black-and-white cutie lying on a dirt pile, barely lifting her head.
She was broken, in pain, completely alone, but still holding on. Arturo’s heart sank at the sight of her.

Their eyes met, and everything changed. Arturo didn’t think twice. He knelt down, scooped her up, and she didn’t resist.
It was as if she already trusted him, ready to finally feel safe.
He drove her straight to Camino Pet Hospital, where a team of vets was waiting. She was named Tillie.

At the hospital, X-rays revealed why Tillie was in so much pain: she had a broken pelvis. She had likely been hit or discarded, left to suffer on her own.
Rescue founder Suzette Hall shared on Facebook:
“Poor baby was in so much pain. She has a fractured pelvis… She has pain meds and getting lots of love. She will never have to beg for help ever again.”

The vets put together a gentle recovery plan: rest, short walks, and plenty of love, no surgery just yet.
Tillie soaked it all in, letting her tail wag slowly as her sweet personality emerged.
Once stable, she moved into a foster home, where she could continue healing peacefully.

Even in just a few days, the difference in Tillie is remarkable.
Her body is still sore, but her spirit is shining. Her foster mom, Laura Engel, shared in a Facebook post:
“Tillie is such a sweet girl despite what she has been through. She LOVES people and other dogs. She is able to take short walks, so we are working on some leash skills and she is nailing potty training.”

The road ahead may still include surgery, but her team believes in her every step of the way. Tillie is a fighter through and through.
And she’s finally safe, warm, and surrounded by the love she missed out on for so long. One thing is for sure: she’ll never have to cry alone in the bushes again.
With her big heart and sweet, trusting nature, it won’t be long before Tillie finds the perfect forever home where she can be cherished for the rest of her days.
