Ozzy, probably the most adorable cat I’ve ever seen, was found all alone in the streets. A couple found him when he was a tiny kitten and sadly, he was in a desperate state.
They immediately rushed him to the closest vet clinic, the St. Francis Animal Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ozzy was finally in good hands, but little did anyone know – he was there to stay.
The hospital staff promptly examined the little black kitten and soon realized he had many issues. As one of the staff members said in a video:
“He had conjunctivitis. He had baby lice all over him. And he wasn’t growing.”
This caused great concern among the staff members since the little one was eating normally, but still seemed super tiny.
They decided to x-ray him and quickly learned, Ozzy is a pretty special cat. The little one has something called osteochondrodysplasia, which simply put, means he is a dwarf cat!
Ozzy needed special care, therefore the staff decided to ‘adopt’ him right away. Where can he get better care and attention than in an animal hospital?
That’s how Ozzy officially became a staff member with his brother Yellow.
That’s right, Ozzy was not the only furry staff member of the hospital. Not so long ago, the clinic adopted another stray, a ginger boy named Yellow. As mentioned in the video:
“When Ozzy came to the picture, Yellow has always been very gentle.”
The two of them became best friends! Yellow taught Ozzy how to scratch the hospital carpets, the importance of greeting new patients, and most importantly how to be a clinic pet.
Comforting new and sick patients is one of Ozzy’s important tasks. He comes close to them and peacefully stares at them, almost as if he is assuring them everything will be alright.
In addition to having tiny legs, Ozzy has another special feature. His jaw is crooked, so one of his teeth sticks out. Honestly, it just adds to his character! As one of the staff members said:
“Mostly everyone just can’t get enough of him!”
I definitely can’t get enough, and if you feel the same make sure to follow this tiny fluffball on Instagram!
