Kayla thought bringing home a tiny kitten named Boots would be a fun new adventure for her family. What she didn’t expect was how her massive German Shepherd, Butter, would react.
After all, Butter weighed 85 pounds, while Boots could practically fit in one hand. Most people would assume the dog would be the boss.
But the moment the two met, it became clear that size meant absolutely nothing.
Butter’s reaction to his tiny new roommate was so unexpected that it left Kayla laughing, and completely changed the dynamic of the household.
When Kayla introduced Butter to her new kitten, she never expected the giant dog to react this way. Instead of warmly welcoming the one-pound fluffball, Butter was completely frightened!
The sight of the tiny kitten, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, had the big dog acting like the most nervous creature around.
Kayla captured the hilarious moment on video, showing Butter cautiously watching Boots, who seemed completely oblivious to the fear she was causing.
While the kitten confidently explored her new home, Butter, instead of investigating, inched closer to her owner for reassurance.
In the end, the large dog hid her face under Kayla’s arm, like a child trying to hide from a monster under the bed! What a sweet giant!

Now, it looks like Butter is slowly warming up to Boots. In a recent picture, you can see them eating from the same bowl, which I believe is a fantastic sign of their growing bond.
