Life tends to throw surprises at us when we least expect it, and that’s exactly what happened to this compassionate man with a huge heart.
The man went for a hike, and he assumed that was all that was going to happen. However, sometimes unplanned and unexpected things can happen…
He set his GoPro camera and set out to hike the 21K river, with only one goal in mind – to get to the end where the river disappears.
His hike was going just as he planned, but just as he was about to turn off his camera, he heard meows…
As the sound of meowing became louder, the hiker realized that there was a kitten somewhere near. This curious and playful kitten took its chance and immediately jumped in front of him.
The sudden jump took the man by surprise, but he just couldn’t resist the kitten’s cuteness.
The hiker felt sorry for the kitten as it seemed hungry and unwell. He gave it some food and hoped that it would go back to wherever it came from. However, the kitten did not.
As you can see, the kitten was determined to stay with this hiker… It was as if it chose him to be its forever human.
The hiker tried “talking some sense” to the kitten, but the kitten now had a goal in mind… it needed to stay with the human it chose.
The hiker had a hard decision to make…
Unable to turn a blind eye to the helpless soul, the hiker decided to bring the kitten home and then help it find a forever home. However, little did he know that the tiny kitten would completely capture his heart.
As days passed by, the hiker grew fond of the kitten as well. Slowly but surely, they formed a strong bond and he just couldn’t surrender it to someone else.
The man took the kitten to the vet to receive a thorough examination and necessary treatments, and soon it made a remarkable progress.
The kitten began transforming into a healthy, playful, and happy feline, who’s now living in a forever home with a person it chose.

The hiker has zero regrets about adopting this tiny kitten. He is still learning about his new furry friend, and if you ask me, he’s doing a great job as a “cat parent”.
You see, sometimes it’s not us who make choices, but our pets who choose us as their forever humans, and I think it’s beautiful.
