A tiny kitten named Hank arrived at a California Petco store in quite an unusual way. She was just four days old when she was discovered alone and seemingly abandoned.
This poor kitten was left at Petco’s doorstep wrapped in a tissue box. The man who dropped her off barely paused to speak, leaving Hank in a state of uncertainty.
The Petco staff, though kind-hearted, weren’t equipped or authorized to care for such a young kitten. But they realized the urgency and immediately reached out to Hannah Shaw.
Hannah is the dedicated founder of Kitten Lady, a renowned cat rescue organization known for its dedication to saving tiny lives. Without delay, Hannah came to the rescue, ready to provide the loving care this tiny soul desperately needed.
Upon arrival, Hannah was struck by how fragile and vulnerable Hank was. This poor furball was extremely dehydrated and had dark, concentrated urine, indicating that it had likely been a while since she last ate.
To make matters worse, she was also infested with fleas, which was particularly concerning because, at such a young age, she couldn’t afford to lose any blood.
Hannah’s heart ached for Hank who’d already faced so much hardship. Known for her deep affection for these tiny beings, she quickly took Hank into her care.
Hannah has always been drawn to kittens, recognizing their vulnerability and the special bond they form with humans when raised from such a young age. She was eager to give Hank the chance to thrive and be loved, sharing on Instagram:

Initially, Hannah mistook Hank for a boy due to her tiny size. It wasn’t until the kitten’s eyes finally opened a few days later that Hannah discovered Hank was, in fact, a girl.
Now, at just three weeks old, Hank has blossomed into a spirited and lively kitten. Her once fragile frame has grown stronger, and she’s already exploring her surroundings with so much energy.
