Plumber Sees A Car Toss A Trash Bag On The Road In Pennsylvania, Then It Starts To Move

Jason Schwartz, a plumbing technician working for Handyside Plumbing in Pennsylvania, was just going about his day when something strange happened.
A car drove by, and out of its window, someone tossed a black trash bag. At first glance, Jason thought it was just someone carelessly littering.
But then the bag shifted.

Jason ran over to see what was going on. The second he opened the bag, his heart sank.
Inside the bag was a tiny black kitten, barely alive. She was so young that she probably hadn’t even reached three weeks old yet.
Jason picked her up and held her close. She was cold, scared, and clearly far too small to be fending for herself. There was no way he was leaving her there.

From that moment on, she became his little travel buddy. Wrapped in blankets and riding shotgun in his work van, she joined Jason on all his service calls.
Jason hand-fed her with a syringe almost hourly, doing his best to keep her warm and comfortable between jobs.
It wasn’t your typical plumbing day, but he didn’t mind one bit.

Before long, this tiny kitten became somewhat of a mascot around Jason’s office.
When she wasn’t tagging along in Jason’s van, she was relaxing in the company warehouse, soaking up all the love and attention.
She had everyone wrapped around her tiny paw. Staff couldn’t resist checking in on her, offering cuddles, and making sure she was safe and happy.

Carley Handyside, the company’s Director of Operations, spoke thoughtfully about the rescue and what it means for the team, sharing in an interview:
“At Handyside, we talk a lot about going above and beyond for our customers, but our team brings that same compassion to everything they do. We’re proud of our tech’s quick action and the kindness our whole team has shown.”

But the kitten’s story didn’t stop there.
Olivia Thomas, the company’s marketing administrator and a proud cat mom herself, offered to provide some extra help. She took the kitten home to care for her around the clock.
She hasn’t landed on a final name yet, but thanks to the kitten’s fuzzy black coat and adorably large ears, Olivia’s been calling her “Bat.”

Now, this tiny survivor is settling into Olivia’s home, being slowly introduced to her cat, Indie, with the hope that they’ll become the sweetest little duo.
Olivia is planning to make the adoption official soon and give this adorable kitten the forever home she deserves.
And maybe someday, she’ll even be napping next to the office’s part-time Husky mascot, Hunter. Now that’s a friendship worth rooting for.
With so much love all around, this little kitten’s future is looking brighter than ever.
