Mike wasted no time in taking Lil Bub to the vet, where he learned about her condition and the unique needs that would make finding her a forever home a challenging task.
Lil Bub was truly one-of-a-kind, with dwarfism causing her limbs to grow disproportionately and preventing her from reaching the size of a typical adult cat.
Additionally, her lower jaw is slightly shorter than the upper one, and she lacks some of her teeth, resulting in her tongue constantly hanging out. And as if that weren’t enough, Bub is a polydactyl cat, sporting extra toes on all her paws.

Mike recalls their early days together:
“She was very small, very strange, and even though she was irresistible, I think people were scared of the responsibility, medical bills, and potential heartbreak that seemed inevitable with a special cat, like Bub.”
While Mike initially believed that Lil Bub’s condition might shorten her lifespan, it didn’t deter him from adopting her. He was resolute in giving her a wonderful life filled with love and care.
Even The Vet Was Taken Aback By Lil Bub
Upon their first vet visit, Bub’s appearance left the professional astonished, declaring her the most unique-looking cat he had ever encountered.
After a thorough examination, the vet assured Mike about her condition and the endearing quirks that came with it.
Despite her physical differences and the challenges she faced compared to other cats, Lil Bub is an exceedingly happy, lively, and affectionate feline. She loved spending time with her devoted companion, Mike, who was immensely proud to have her in his life.
