Michigan Wobbly Kitten Who Used To Just Sleep Gets The Adventure-Filled Life With His Dad
When Ozzy was adopted, he struggled to move and spent most of his days moping. But once his new dad stepped in, this special-needs cat discovered a whole new world.
A Quiet Beginning

When Ozzy was first adopted, life was a bit of a struggle for the tiny feline. He was a very wobbly little kitten, born with a condition known as cerebellar abiotrophy.
His body didn’t work quite like other cats, making it difficult for him to move around with ease. As a result, his world remained incredibly small.
Before his family found the key to his happiness, Ozzy would just sleep. He spent his days moping around the house, unable to experience the joys of a typical kitten.
The Turning Point

Everything shifted when his dad, Keith, decided that Ozzy needed more stimulation. He realized that just because the cat’s body was limited, it didn’t mean his spirit had to be.
Keith started taking the wobbly cat on a series of daily adventures. The goal was to keep him active and engaged with the world outside his bed.
The transformation was almost immediate. Ozzy went from a sleepy, moping kitten to a completely changed cat.
A Special Bond

The adventures sparked a beautiful connection between Ozzy and Keith. Now, whenever Keith walks into the room, the sweet cat absolutely lights up.
He thrives on being connected to his dad, always seeking out his attention. His mom even jokes that Ozzy is so glad to see Keith, he doesn’t care about her in quite the same way!
“He likes to get my attention, that’s for sure,” Keith notes with a smile.
Sunshine And Pool Therapy

Ozzy’s new active lifestyle includes a variety of outdoor excursions. He has discovered a deep love for simply being outside in the fresh air.
One of his absolute favorite activities is his pool therapy. For Ozzy, there is nothing better than laying out in a shallow pool under the warm sun.
These gentle water sessions are incredibly good for him, offering both relaxation and a safe way to enjoy the outdoors.
Exploring The World

The family goes above and beyond to ensure Ozzy never misses out on life’s experiences. They take him for comfortable stroller rides around their neighborhood.
His adventures take him to the local playground, the pet store, and even the mall. They are willing to do whatever it takes to keep his mind active and engaged.
When winter rolls around and brings heavy snow, Ozzy doesn’t stay cooped up. He absolutely loves going for rides on his very own sled.
Seeing The Heart Inside

Ozzy’s family hopes his story will encourage others to open their homes to pets with physical challenges. People are often afraid to adopt special-needs animals, but Ozzy proves how rewarding it can be.
“They can be just as normal as any other cat,” his family shares. For Keith, the bond goes beyond pet ownership; he looks at Ozzy just like a son.
Despite his wobbly movements, Ozzy is a remarkably happy cat. As his family beautifully puts it, just because his body doesn’t work perfectly, there is still a loving heart in there.
