The woman in this story is a true hero. She has been caring for the local strays in her city for years, but one day she encountered something truly challenging.
While she was making her usual rounds and feeding the cats in her neighborhood, she saw a cat sitting next to what seemed to be a newborn kitten.
Just moments later, the cat turned around and left the kitten on the sidewalk. The woman rushed across the street, worried about the kitten.
A tiny ginger fuzzball was left to await its final moments. Usually, when mother cats abandon their kittens, it’s because they know the kitten won’t make it.
However, the woman couldn’t just leave him there. She scooped the poor soul up and brought him home.
A Kitten’s Fight For Survival
Caring for newborn kittens can be quite a challenge, especially for first-time foster parents. The woman didn’t let this fact discourage her, she was determined to help him.
Once she arrived home, she gave him some kitten formula and the little one started moving around. She then proceeded to clean him and provided him with a warm and cozy spot.
Luckily, the little buddy had an appetite and soon started crawling and meowing around. His foster mom adorably named him Steel!
Over the next few days, she spent every minute by his side. However, she noticed he had trouble with his bowel movements. She started massaging his belly after every feeding, and finally, he did his duty!
However, over the next few days, Steel had some difficulty breathing. His foster mom was extremely concerned and tried her best to provide him some comfort.
She proceeded to give him oxygen, hoping he would make it through. Unfortunately, his condition only got worse. His caring human had to rush him to the emergency vet.
The vet told her to continue with the oxygen and hope for the best. Sadly, the next morning poor little Steel crossed the rainbow bridge. Completely heartbroken, she continued her mission of saving stray cats.
A few weeks later, while strolling through the neighborhood she found an abandoned litter. Was it destiny or maybe pure coincidence, the woman knew she couldn’t just leave them there…
A Touch Of Destiny
After a quick vet visit, 3 kittens were placed in another foster home, and the fourth kitten went home with her. She couldn’t help but notice how much this little ginger fellow reminded her of Steel.
She was worried about the outcome, but soon realized this little fuzzball was way stronger than Steel was.
He had a healthy appetite and was soon climbing all over her. However, he also had some tummy issues – nothing a few belly rubs couldn’t solve!
Day after day, the ginger fuzzball was growing and becoming a strong, healthy kitten. The woman named him PangPang and just like that – he was officially adopted!
The woman also has a beautiful ragdoll named Bubble. This beauty made a special connection with PangPang. She checked on him every day, cuddled him, and bopped his nose any chance she got!
PangPang learned to purr and clean himself, but most importantly he learned how to find his milk bottle!
Soon he became a playful kitten. He also learned to hunt, although his prey was mainly Bubbles’ tail!
This story sure had many ups and downs, proving that foster parents are real heroes!
Although poor Steel lost his fight, I’m glad this kind woman never doubted herself. Now she can provide a loving home for PangPang!
