California Man Heartbroken After Finding A White Cat In Dire State Hiding In Fear

Far too many abandoned cats are left to face the unforgiving realities of life on the streets. What makes it even more tragic is how often they are shooed away by those unwilling to help.
Cats who go through such experiences usually end up struggling to survive on their own, living in constant fear and keeping their distance from people.
That seemed to be the path awaiting a small young cat with short legs — until a kind-hearted Good Samaritan in California crossed her path and chose to step in.

One hot day, a kind-hearted rescuer from Animal Care Haven in Los Angeles discovered a white cat in a dire state, hiding in fear. As he couldn’t turn a blind eye to her, he gently approached her and took her to his shop.
After seeing the poor cat’s condition, the man’s heart broke into pieces. She was skinny, with her face dirty and swollen, appearing quite ill.
Determined to help, he took her to a pet hospital that afternoon. Unfortunately, a detailed examination revealed that the cat suffered from eyelid edema and a respiratory infection.

Because of her medical condition, the rescuer couldn’t bring her home immediately, as it might have put his other pets at risk. Instead, he began caring for her right there in his shop until she was well enough to join them safely.
With the help of anti-inflammatory medication, the swelling gradually went down, though she still had a long recovery ahead.
During that time, the little cat grew curious about her surroundings, wandering the shop and slowly beginning to reveal her playful personality.

The rescuer named her Fifteen, as he rescued her on the fifteenth. She quickly started to love her new space and warmed up to her rescuer. Her overall condition notably improved, which was even more encouraging.
Fifteen had a great appetite and began showing great interest in playtime. However, she needed to be quarantined for a month before her rescuer could take her home and introduce her to his other furry friends.

Even during her quarantine, Fifteen managed to enjoy herself. Her days were filled with eating, napping, and playing, and she quickly began to thrive in this new chapter of her life.
Once she was dewormed and given a soothing bath, her transformation became even more remarkable.
She put on healthy weight and blossomed into a completely different cat from the frail little one who had first been rescued.

Finally, she had one more step to take before entering her forever home. Her rescuer took her to the vet for a final check-up to ensure she had no contagious diseases.
While Fifteen didn’t exactly enjoy the check-up, the good thing was her results were negative, and she could finally go home.

Happily, Fifteen adjusted to her new home in no time. She quickly felt at ease and soon formed friendships with the other cats, allowing her real personality to finally emerge.
She can be a little mischievous at times, but what matters most is that she’s no longer struggling on the streets. Now she’s thriving in a safe home, surrounded by a caring man and furry companions who cherish her.
