A Faint Cry For Help
A faint, desperate cry echoed through a parking lot, but the source was completely out of sight.
Passersby could hear the unmistakable sound of a tiny kitten in distress, yet no one could pinpoint exactly where she was hiding.
Realizing the situation was dire, local police were dispatched to the scene to help figure out where the cries were coming from.
Eventually, they decided to call in local animal rescuer John Debacker to handle the delicate situation.
A Massive Response
When John arrived at the scene, he was met with an incredible sight.
“I got there, there was already, like, six to eight cop cars just flooding the parking lot,” John recalled.
All of this commotion and manpower was dedicated to saving one single, tiny life.
The kitten was trapped somewhere inside a car engine, and the clock was ticking.
The Invisible Kitten
Finding a frightened kitten tucked deep inside a car engine is never an easy task.
When John first approached the vehicle, bystanders admitted they still hadn’t laid eyes on the animal.
They didn’t even know what color the kitten was, only that someone had initially posted about the situation on the Ring app.
John immediately got to work, trying to assess the safest way to extract the hidden animal.
Tracking The Sound

Carefully reaching into the tight, dark space, John finally managed to grab hold of the tiny furball.
He pulled her out into the daylight as the anxious crowd gasped in relief.
“She’s a Molly. It’s a Siamese,” someone excitedly announced as they got their first look at the beautiful kitten.
Despite her harrowing ordeal inside the engine block, the little cat was perfectly fine.
