Pennsylvania Plumber Sees A Trash Bag Tossed From A Car And Freezes When It Starts To Move

It was an ordinary day when Jason Schwartz, a plumbing tech at Handyside Plumbing located in Pennsylvania, was outside a home, getting ready for a routine house call.

He was just grabbing a few tools from his van when something strange caught his eye. A car passed by, and out of its window flew a trash bag.

At first, it just seemed like someone littering. But then… the bag moved. Jason didn’t hesitate. He ran straight over to check.

Inside the tossed-away bag was a tiny black kitten. So small, she looked like she had just barely opened her eyes. Not even three weeks old. It was heartbreaking.

Jason scooped her up and held her close. He knew he couldn’t leave her behind. She was cold, scared, and way too young to be alone.

At that moment, the kitten became his little passenger, snuggled safely in his work van, tagging along for every service call.

He’d wrap her up and feed her by hand with a syringe almost every hour. Not exactly what a plumber expects on the job, but Jason didn’t mind it.

Soon, the kitten became a little office celebrity at Jason’s company. When she wasn’t cruising around in his van, she was lounging in the company warehouse and stealing hearts.

Everyone at Handyside adored her. It seemed like this tiny, fluffy ball of fur brought a whole new warmth into the workplace.

They couldn’t stop checking on her, cuddling her, and making sure she felt safe. It was like the whole office had rallied around this one small kitten.

The company’s Director of Operations, Carley Handyside, shared in an interview:

“At Handyside, we talk a lot about going above and beyond for our customers, but our team brings that same compassion to everything they do. We’re proud of our tech’s quick action and the kindness our whole team has shown.”

The company’s marketing administrator, Olivia Thomas, who just so happens to be a proud cat mom herself, has recently stepped in to give this baby the extra love and care she needs.

Olivia brought her home where she now feeds her around the clock and makes her feel like part of the family. She hasn’t picked a name yet, but with her soft black fur and big ears, Olivia’s been calling her “Bat.”

“Lucky” is also in the running, and honestly, both names suit her perfectly.

Looking ahead, things are definitely looking cozy and full of purrs.

Olivia has started introducing her new tiny sidekick to her cat Indie, hoping the two will hit it off and become the sweetest little duo.

And the best part? Olivia’s planning to officially adopt her and give her the forever home she deserves.

And who knows, maybe one day this lucky kitten will be sharing nap spots with the company’s part-time office Husky, Hunter. That’s a friendship we’d all love to see!

From a crumpled trash bag to a loving home, this sweet girl’s journey is just beginning.

And thanks to a kind-hearted plumber and a company full of cat-loving folks, she now has a future filled with love.
