Cat Left At North Carolina Shelter Stuns Staff With A Heartbreaking Note And A Hidden Surprise
Some people abandon their pets in heartbreaking ways, leaving them behind to survive on their own. Others choose shelters, sometimes with a sad note tucked inside a carrier.
It may seem kinder, but surrendering an animal without ensuring stability and support still leaves deep uncertainty for a pet who only wants love and security.
One day at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in North Carolina, staff members were shocked to find a dilute calico cat left at their doorstep in a carrier along with a note that read:
“My mom can’t keep me anymore. Please take me in. I promise I will be a good cat.”
The cat, brimming with affection and appearing well-cared-for, immediately charmed the staff. They said in an interview:
“She was very friendly from the moment she arrived.”
The staff decided to name the cat Pricilla and quickly carried out a full examination. To their surprise, they discovered an unexpected twist – Pricilla was pregnant!
The vets discovered she was pregnant, which was probably why her previous owner couldn’t care for her anymore, leaving her at the rescue. The vets shared:
“We realized she was pregnant during her medical examination, and we did an ultrasound to confirm. We are grateful Pricilla was with us because she had extreme complications.”
Pricilla required an emergency surgery to save her life, and thankfully, both she and her unborn kittens were rescued just in time.
Soon after, she delivered three beautiful babies: one white, one dilute orange, and one dilute calico.
After a few days of rest, Pricilla and her three kittens – Snap, Crackle, and Pop – moved into a foster home to continue their recovery.
With the support of her foster family, who provided plenty of good food and a safe, cozy environment, Pricilla flourished.
She proved to be a devoted mother, tending lovingly to her little ones. Unlike some protective mama cats, though, Pricilla enjoyed showing off her kittens, proudly letting visitors admire them.
As the kittens grew older and began to wean, their playful personalities started to shine, turning them into lively little bundles of joy.
During this time, Pricilla also began to embrace more attention from her human caretakers, soaking up the love she had once missed.
When the kittens were finally ready, each one was adopted into a forever home with a family eager to love them. Pricilla, however, remained behind, waiting for her own chance at a happily ever after.
But Pricilla’s happy ending wasn’t far away. After being spayed and fully prepared for a new chapter, she was ready to find a forever home of her own.
Her sweet and affectionate personality quickly captured the hearts of a wonderful family, who were more than excited to give her the love and care she had always deserved.
From being abandoned outside a shelter to finding joy with loving families, Pricilla and her kittens have truly come full circle.
