3-Year-Old Boy Saves A Kitten With His Mom And Gains A Lifelong Companion

3-Year-Old Boy Saves A Kitten With His Mom And Gains A Lifelong Companion

Sharing is caring!

Over time, I’ve heard countless heartwarming rescue and adoption stories, however, this one might be one of my favorites, and here is why.

A woman and her 3-year-old son were enjoying their time in a local park when a faint little meow caught their attention.

The woman immediately followed the sound and soon found a small malnourished kitten helplessly wandering around. The kitten approached the little boy and started desperately meowing at him, almost as if he was asking for help.

The boy’s mom ran to the nearest supermarket to get a cardboard box for the kitten. They let the little furball get inside by himself, giving him as much time as he needed.

The poor soul was wobbly and had barely any energy left. The kind woman knew he needed special care and love, and she was ready to give him all that, and more!

Once they arrived home, the woman noticed how bad the kitten’s state was. His fur was covered in glue and he could barely eat on his own. She proceeded to clean his fur as much as she could.

However, since he couldn’t eat by himself, she had to feed him kitten formula through a syringe. The poor little fuzzball was completely frozen and his new favorite spot was next to a heater.

All this time, the boy was watching over the kitten, helping his mom with everything! It took the kitten a few days before he was finally able to run around. He slowly started eating by himself and discovering his new home.

The kitten made sure everyone knew who his favorite human was. He followed the 3-year-old boy around the house, meowed at him, and climbed all over him.

The mom was excited about their newfound friendship and decided to involve her son in more kitten-related activities.

First, they built a cozy spot for the kitten with two plastic containers. As she jokingly said in her video:

“He lived in a two-story building.”

Since the kitten was already officially adopted, it was time for a name. They wrote all the name options on small pieces of paper and let the kitten choose his name. You’re probably wondering how they did it…

Well, the mom made small paper balls and threw them on the floor. He immediately chased one of the balls and, just like that, the kitten chose himself a name – DengDeng.

The little boy was super happy to share everything with his new feline friend. Every day after he came home from daycare the two of them would watch cartoons together.

DengDeng and his human brother shared every toy, chased each other through the house, and discovered the world side by side.

Their mom decided to get a pet fish, and let me tell you, both DengDeng and the boy were mesmerized by the fish. They spent hours on end just observing the little fish. How adorable, right?

DengDeng grew up to be a beautiful happy cat, living his life to the fullest with his human brother. The two of them made each other happy, and the mom was delighted her son had such a special friend in his life, as she shared:

“Seeing the child’s happy face, I’m glad to have found a good playmate for him.”

Most importantly, DengDeng taught the boy a valuable lesson on kindness. He learned how to care for small animals and what it means to save someone in need.

Today, DengDeng lives carefree with his fur-ever family, waiting patiently for his human brother to come home from school for some well-deserved playtime!
