Florida Sphynx Cat Is Breaking Every Feline Rule And Is Absolutely Obsessed With Bath Time

Most cats treat water like a trap waiting to happen. A single splash, a dripping faucet, even a damp paw, enough to send them sprinting in the opposite direction.

They dodge puddles. They avoid baths. They act like water is the enemy. But not every cat follows the rulebook.

Kiri is a Sphynx cat who flips that idea completely.

For her, water isn’t something to fear. It’s something she enjoys. A little splash turns into playtime, and those quiet moments become something she genuinely seems to love.

Her owner, Ren Maxwell from Florida, recently shared a TikTok video of Kiri that quickly captured the internet’s attention.

Ren enjoys introducing her cats to the online community, often posting sweet and funny clips of them. Her followers can’t seem to get enough of her wonderful feline family.

This specific video of Kiri brought Ren a burst of online fame, racking up over two million views. You might be wondering what made it stand out from the rest.

As mentioned before, it’s rare to see a cat who not only tolerates but actually enjoys water and bath time.

On top of that, Ren crafted a little shower cap just for Kiri, making sure her ears stayed protected while she splashed around.

Since Sphynx cats don’t have fur, they also miss out on the natural protection that fluffy cats benefit from – especially when it comes to delicate areas like their ears.

Without that shield, water can slip in easily and cause irritation during baths. To fix this, Ren came up with a smart and creative solution.

She made tiny shower caps for both Kiri and her sister Neytiri, who is also a Sphynx. The little caps fit neatly over their heads, keeping their ears dry while still letting them enjoy the comfort of warm water.

It was a simple idea, but one that made bath time much more pleasant for the two cats.

In the video, Kiri looked absolutely delighted. Wearing her tiny shower cap, she happily munched on treats while her dad gave her a gentle massage.

When the bath was finished, though, Kiri wasn’t ready to leave – she wanted to stay right where she was.

Ren tried coaxing her out, encouraging her to hop onto the towel. She eventually climbed out, but the moment her little shower cap was removed.

Kiri bounced right back into the tub. It was a moment too cute not to share – Kiri, in her tiny cap, proving just how much she loves her bath time.

Unlike most cats, who rarely need a bath, Sphynx cats actually do. Because they don’t have fur, the natural oils on their skin aren’t absorbed, which can lead to buildup.

Regular baths help prevent problems like acne or other skin irritations, keeping them healthy and comfortable.

Luckily for Kiri, this means she will enjoy many baths in the future and I sure hope Ren keeps posting these adorable videos.
