The Stray Cat Club rescued and rehomed hundreds of cats in need and they continue to find perfect forever homes for our feline friends.
Recently they saved a cat that stole my heart instantly so I had to share her story with you!
The adorable tortie cat in question goes by the name Ruby and sadly she spent her entire life on the streets.
With her sweet and cuddly nature, she won over the neighborhood but sadly no one was able to provide her with a loving home.
That’s until one woman noticed that Ruby was getting bigger – the sweet girl was pregnant!
Worried about her well-being, the woman called their local rescue organization. The Stray Cat Club gladly took Ruby in and found her a foster home. As they shared in a post:
“We introduced Ruby last week, and are happy to announce she has given birth to her beautiful litter of babies today.”
After only a week in her foster home, Ruby welcomed her adorable babies who looked exactly like her!
You are probably wondering what makes Ruby so special. Well right after she gave birth, The Stray Cat Club was informed by another shelter about a litter in desperate need of a foster mom.
They planned to introduce the kittens to Ruby, hoping she would take them in and nurse them alongside her kittens.
Luckily, sweet Ruby was more than ready to help. She instantly accepted the kittens as her own, as the shelter shared in an update:
“We are thrilled to share that we have successfully introduced them to our nursing mum Ruby, whose kittens are just a couple of days older! To give mum some help with the feedings, we are currently hand-rearing these little ones. It’s a team effort, and we couldn’t be happier to see them thriving together.”
Since the kittens were thriving alongside Ruby and in their foster home, it was time to find them a loving forever home.
However, while visitors came to meet both Ruby’s kittens and the ones she fostered, Ruby somehow slipped away unnoticed.
They immediately posted about it on all social media outlets, hoping someone would find her. Almost 24 hours later, sweet Ruby came back by herself. As the shelter shared:
“After giving us quite the scare, our adventurous cat Ruby who had been missing for the last 24 hours has just strolled back in like nothing was wrong! We’re so relieved and grateful to have her back safe and sound.”
Adventurous, yet adorable little Ruby will stay in her foster home until she finds her forever humans together with her kittens!
