Arizona Woman Filmed Throwing Puppy From Moving Vehicle
Every so often, a story surfaces that leaves you shaken and questioning how some people can act with such cruelty.
This one was especially hard to read, let alone retell. But it’s important to share — because even in the darkest moments, there are still people willing to step in and make things right.
In a disturbing video that quickly spread across Facebook, a woman was seen heartlessly throwing a small dog from a red SUV in Surprise, Arizona.
The clip begins with the vehicle pulling up to a dead-end road beside the desert. As it turns around, the passenger door swings open and the woman tosses a black-and-white puppy onto the street as if he were nothing more than rubbish.
Before speeding away, she says “bye-bye,” leaving the confused pup alone on the road. In a heartbreaking attempt, he chases after the car, hoping she might change her mind and return for him.
That moment was witnessed by Joanna Buesen, who had been out walking her own dog. Seeing the little one running after the vehicle made her heart sink.
She couldn’t contain her anger, especially at the casual cruelty of that “goodbye.” In an interview, she shared her disbelief:
“I was flabbergasted, shocked… I think that they had no remorse for their actions, and I think that is the telltale that it is malicious intent. I understand things are hard and things can be tough in life, but you don’t have to be a soulless human. And that is just a soulless thing.”
Residents of the area where the pup was abandoned were equally horrified, calling the act heartless and cruel. One local, Kim Igo, said she had never seen anything quite like it:
“We’ve seen them dumping all kinds of other things but not animals… That’s a new level. A new level of just…ugh.”
Joanna knew she couldn’t just walk away. Speaking softly, she approached the frightened pup. The moment he heard her voice, his ears lifted, and he ran toward her. She scooped him up, bringing him home for warmth, food, and comfort.
This dog, discarded like nothing, finally had a safe place — at least for now.
Soon after, animal control arrived to take him into their care. Authorities were alerted, and thanks to the clear footage of the vehicle, it didn’t take long to track down the people responsible.
It turned out the dog’s owners had come forward, and they are now facing animal cruelty charges.
The little pup is now safe at a shelter, where he’ll remain until the right family comes along. After all he’s endured, he deserves a life filled with love, comfort, and kindness.
With time, hopefully, the painful memories will fade, leaving only the care and compassion he found in the days after that cruel act.
