Blind Cat With A Rare Eye Condition Saved From Euthanasia At The Last Minute

Sharing is caring!

After her owner passed away, a poor blind cat was abandoned to a cruel fate. The late owner’s family, unwilling to care for this cat with an unusual physical appearance, opted for the worst…euthanasia.

Nushi, you see, is not a regular cat; she has a rare eye condition that, besides making her almost completely blind, makes her eyes appear large and bluish.

Her distinctive appearance could lead people to believe she was either seriously ill or maybe even associated with witchcraft, which could be the reason the owner’s family refused to adopt her.

As the family refused to take care of her, it seemed that Nushi’s life was heading towards a sad ending, but then a miracle happened… Nushi was saved at the last minute!

A kind soul was sent her way to save Nushi and offer her a second chance. Sophya Berry found out about Nushi through a close friend and immediately offered to adopt the blind baby.

Unbothered by her rather unusual appearance, Sophya instantly fell in love with Nushi. Determined to provide the very best for the kitty, she took her home and introduced her to the rest of the family.

After a challenging time of uncertainty and fear, a new, happy life awaited Nushi in her new loving home.

Surrounded by family members who adore her, Nushi now lives her life to the fullest. She enjoys human companionship and attention and is the happiest when sitting in her parents’ lap.

It turned out Nushi gained an additional 8 furry siblings when she joined the family. So when she’s down for some action, she loves chasing other cats and jumping around the house.

Despite what an onlooker could think at first glance, Nushi is indeed one happy kitty, living her carefree and pain-free life. Her owner, Sophya, wrote in an Instagram post:

“Eye condition: there is no any signs that Nushi has pain. She can see the light and shadows, she can navigate, climb and run! She loves bright light, her eyes aren’t swollen and wet, she’s not rubbing her eyes.”
