This Fashionista Kitty Doesn’t Let Her Disability Stop Her From Being Fabulous

Sharing is caring!

This adorable cat you’ll see soon is Cecily. Cecily is a Manx cat who was born with Manx syndrome. She lives at the Cattery Cat Shelter, located in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Cecily has deformed hind legs and abnormalities in some of her organs. Once her disabled legs became a problem for her, they were amputated. But this fierce kitty did not give up at any moment in her life, she walks on her front legs!

“As Cecily grew, her legs started bothering her, and her Vet team thought it was best to remove them to prevent infection.”

Besides all that, the only disability that is noticeable about her is that she wears a diaper. Cecily is incontinent and must wear it at all times. So, in order to keep the diaper on Cecily, a volunteer at the cattery sewed a cute “diaper harness” for her.

Cecily got used to the harness at an early age, and this amazing volunteer continued sewing and making fashionable little outfits for her.

The volunteer’s fashion sense turned Cecily into an Instagram celebrity!

The money made from her Instagram account and from purchased merchandise is paying for Cecily’s diapers and veterinary care.

Princess Cecily is a permanent resident of this cattery and as she’s now five years old, she became their ambassador.

Isn’t Cecily’s story amazing?

Most people would turn their backs on a disabled cat, especially an incontinent one. They would consider them too much work, but look what happens when we just give a cat a chance.

Cecily’s story is incredible, proving that giving a cat a chance can transform their life for the better.
