It’s often said that timing is everything. Sometimes, all it takes is to be in the right place at the right time for your entire world to transform.
That’s what happened to Alden, an abandoned kitten who seemed to have lost his battle for life before he was saved just in the nick of time. His amazing story touched my heart and I am certain it will inspire you too!
It all started when two kind souls came across an unexpected scene behind a mechanic shop. The sight of a tiny kitten lying still on the roadside broke their hearts.
The poor baby, only a few days old, was covered in dirt, with his mom nowhere to be found. His tiny body, surrounded by crawling ants, showed no signs of life.
Andy, one of the good Samaritans who found him, shared for Love Meow:
“My partner and I found him curled up beside an automotive repair shop… According to the mechanics, street children brought him there and were playing with him. He was covered in dirt. His right eye was shut due to pus.”
As they observed the helpless creature curled up in a fetal position, the worried pair feared the worst. This fragile baby couldn’t be alive, could he?
Suddenly, they noticed a faint twitch of the kitten’s leg. When they lifted him and saw his chest rise and fall in the tiniest of breaths, they sighed with relief – he was alive!
Without a second thought, the pair brought him to the nearest vet. Once his body was cleaned from dirt and his eye infection treated, the kitten’s true beauty emerged. What a charming little furball he was!
With warm milk to soothe his hungry tummy, the kitten was given the sweetest name – Alden. Cradled in caring hands, he opened his eyes to explore the world around him.
Yet, the poor thing kept crying for more milk. He was still weak and unable to drink on his own, so his human friends patiently fed him with a syringe, ensuring he received all the nourishment he needed. Andy shared:
“After only three days of taking his medication and feeding him milk replacements every four hours, Alden’s eyes are both wide open and beautiful.”
As Alden’s wobbly legs grew steadier and he started to walk without a limp, it became evident that this little soldier embraced his second chance at life.
However, something else also became clear – the pair couldn’t bear to part with him. They already opened their hearts to this sweet ginger boy and knew their joy would be complete only if he stayed with them forever.
Without a doubt, they decided to welcome Alden into their home and give him the best possible life.
Plump belly from hearty meals, twinkling eyes from curiosity, and perky ears never missing a sound – this was Alden three weeks later, thriving in his new home.
The ginger kitty found his place in the world, and Andy was delighted to share the joy:
“He eats a lot and is getting more active now. We are so happy we took him home.”
Given the heartbreaking reality of countless stray kittens left alone, Alden was a very lucky boy. Found with barely a whisper of life, he was saved just in the nick of time.
Now, nestled in a loving home, his days are filled with cuddles, love, and comforts he could only dream of.
