California Cat Lived Outside For 10 Years Until One Woman Decided To Open Her Door And Take A Chance
When a neighbor moved away, a fearful stray cat was left behind. It took two years of patience, but one woman refused to give up on earning her trust.
For a decade, a solitary stray cat lived her life entirely on the fringes of human contact.
She had survived the elements, the isolation, and the constant fear of the unknown, never knowing what it felt like to be gently touched or loved.
When Amber’s neighbor announced she was moving to Texas, she left behind a special request that would change the trajectory of this timid cat’s life forever.

He constructed a beautiful little add-on with a special latch for food and a cozy interior area where Kiki can escape the rain.
She now happily uses her custom safe haven whenever the weather turns bad or she just needs to relax.
Moving At Her Own Pace
While Amber hopes to eventually take Kiki to the vet for a checkup, she insists on moving entirely at the cat’s pace.
Kiki is still very fearful of other humans, requiring new visitors to stand completely still and avoid eye contact if they want to share her space.
But with Amber, the transformation is complete.
