Woman Stunned After Realizing Her Feline Friend Uses Toilet Instead A Litter Box

Cats and their litter boxes, right? They sure know how to keep us on our toes.

Some cats dive in without a fuss, while others are more like little divas, requiring the perfect setup – the ideal box, the right type of litter, and even the perfect location. It can certainly be a bit of a headache sometimes.

Then there’s Kit, a lively 5-month-old kitten who completely skipped the usual litter box struggles and opted for something a bit more… sophisticated.

A porcelain toilet, to be exact. You might have thought it was all about training, right? Well, not for Kit. He was like, “I’m going to use that human toilet just like everyone else, thanks!”

Now, Kit’s toilet habits were truly something else. But here’s the catch: He forgot to clue his family in on his new bathroom routine.

So, everyone was in the house, pointing fingers at each other for not flushing after using the toilet. Classic, right? That is, until one day, a bathroom trip revealed the truth.

Caroline Grufferty, a cat mom with some serious investigative skills, had been used to dealing with all kinds of “household business.” But this time, things got a little… odd.

Caroline would walk into the bathroom, expecting to find a nice, clean toilet, only to find it full. Her first thought was, “Oh, it’s probably seven-year-old Julian again, forgetting to flush.”

So, she did what any mom would do – called Julian out on it. But Julian, being the little trickster he was, insisted he wasn’t the culprit and blamed his mom instead!

The mystery continued to unfold until Caroline, the true bathroom detective, noticed tiny paw prints on the toilet seat. That’s when the suspicion shifted to their four-legged family member.

With her detective skills on full display (figuratively speaking), Caroline began following Kit. And sure enough, she solved the case!

As she recalls:

“I started watching him and one night when we were watching TV, I noticed him sneaking upstairs by himself and I followed him.”

That’s when the truth spilled out. Kit marched into the bathroom, hopped up on a little step, and gracefully jumped onto the toilet.

Caroline watched in awe as he did his pre-bathroom ritual, making sure the bowl was clean. Then, he got down to business. It was like watching a feline genius at work.

“I saw him go into the bathroom, hop up on a baby step, and then jump up onto the toilet. He did his thing where he dips himself down to smell and make sure the bowl is clean, then he turned and started to relieve himself.”

Caroline’s got the scoop: Kit prefers to do his business outside in the yard, but when he’s stuck indoors, he’s got no qualms about using the human toilet. Now, here’s another twist: Kit even understands the flush lever.

Most of the time, Kit’s bathroom skills are on point. However, his little paws are still too delicate to fully manage the flush. Maybe when he gets a bit older, he’ll have it all figured out.

For now, though, there’s still one more lesson left to teach him:

“We’ve yet to teach him to wash his paws after he’s finished, but I’m sure we could train him to do the whole lot – he’s a very clever little guy.”

And there you have it. Kit, the bathroom genius who’s keeping the whole family laughing. Stay tuned for more of his potty training adventures!
