Today’s story is about a kitten who faced an incredibly harsh start in life. So let’s rewind the story.
While Dessy was walking around her neighborhood, she heard some desperate meows.
Being an experienced rescuer, she immediately rushed toward the little meows. However, what she was about to witness was more than just heartbreaking.
Inside a trash can, an adorable yet skinny tabby kitten awaited someone kind enough to rescue her.
Dessy slowly approached her, but the poor soul was terrified. She was afraid to come close to Dessy, not knowing she was there to rescue her from a desperate situation.
Dessy’s husband returned to their car and brought some cat food for her, hoping to lure her out of the trash. The food did the trick and Dessy scooped the little kitten up, ready to bring her home.
Dessy’s goal was to nurse the little thing back to health and find her a forever home. Naming her Chloe, she soon realized just how shy she was.
Chloe spent the first week hiding behind the washing machine in their kitchen, only coming out for food. Dessy knew she needed time to adjust to her new environment and once she did they soon realized she was a true cuddle bug.
Fast forward a couple of months and sweet Chloe grew into the most gorgeous cat ever. With her tabby coat and a few ginger spots, she enjoyed all the attention Dessy and her husband had to give.
Her favorite spot was in Dessy’s lap, while her foster mom gently massaged her. Sadly, they failed to find her a forever home in all these months, but Dessy believes her humans would show up eventually.
Until then, Chloe lives her best life surrounded by constant love and attention. From a little trash kitten to a gorgeous happy cat, I’m so grateful Dessy found her before it was too late!
