Imagine you pull up to work one morning and just before you enter the building you hear desperate tiny meows echoing through the parking lot. What would you do?
Well, employees of one small local factory were faced with such a scenario just recently. They immediately followed the sound, ready to help the feline family in need.
However, once they found the mama cat and her kittens tucked away behind the building they were left heartbroken.
Mama cat was lying motionless on the ground, with three of her kittens desperately meowing as if they were trying to wake her up.
The workers knew the furry family needed professional help so they reached out to their local rescue group.
They explained the situation to the shelter staff. Given how severe the mama cat’s condition was, the shelter sent a vet technician from the veterinary office who worked closely with them.
Just 30 minutes later, the rescue team arrived. The vet technician immediately assessed the state of the furry family.
The kittens were fortunately more than healthy. It seemed mama cat took good care of them, but sadly it took a toll on her body.
The technician checked mama cat’s vital signs and found that she was severely malnourished, dehydrated, and her blood pressure was dangerously low.
They scooped them up, thanked the factory employees, and rushed them to the vet office.
The vet was waiting for the furry family to come and she immediately gave an emergency remedy to mama cat. Hoping it would boost her blood pressure, they let her rest alongside her kittens.
Luckily, the next morning mama cat was awake! She seemed well and the technician gave her a bath to remove all the dirty and matted fur.
It turned out the poor mama cat was just severely dehydrated and the harsh street life took a toll on her body.
After a bath and some delicious food, she seemed perfectly fine and healthy! The entire staff at the vet office was relieved that she had no major health issues.
They were transported to the shelter, where mama cat would care for the kittens until they were old enough for a forever home!
I’m so happy the employees heard the desperate meows and helped this furry family in need!
