Stray Cat Alliance from Los Angeles was informed about a kitten who desperately needed their help.
Benjamin was scooped up from the street when he was just a couple of weeks old by a kind person. The good samaritan brought Benjamin to the closest shelter, not knowing what was about to happen to him.
The shelter quickly realized that Benjamin was severely sick and they had no resources to nurse him back to health. That same day poor little Benjamin was put on the euthanasia list.
Just hours before Benjamin was about to be put down, he was once again rescued by the amazing Stray Cat Alliance. Only this time he fell into the right hands.
The staff and volunteers at SCA made it their mission to nurse him back to life. They spend hours feeding him with the help of a spoon while giving him the medication he desperately needed around the clock.
The poor thing suffered from an upper respiratory infection, one of his eyes was infected, and he couldn’t regulate his body temperature.
It was a struggle, but the kind volunteers had no intention of giving up on him. They decided to share his story on their social media accounts.
This is when Cameron found out about Benjamin. This kind man, also located in Los Angeles, was quick to send an adoption application for little Benjamin.
Cameron immediately fell in love with him and decided to give Benjamin a forever home. Just a few weeks later, he went to pick little Benjamin up and continue his healing journey with him.
Slowly but surely, Benjamin became a healthy and chubby house cat. His sweet personality shined through and he went from a sick little kitten to a handsome ginger cat!
His will to survive inspired his dad Cameron to start fostering kittens in need for the Stray Cat Alliance. He wanted to give back to the organization that saved his beloved Benjamin.
Cameron and Benjamin started welcoming foster kittens into their home, and to Cameron’s surprise, Benjamin quickly took over the role of a foster dad.
He would teach the kittens how to groom themselves, how to play and wrestle, and most importantly he taught them all about bird-watching!
Cameron will forever be grateful for the amazing Stray Cat Alliance that gave his feline companion a second chance at life! Make sure to follow Benjamin over on Instagram!
