From the moment Emily and her husband stepped into the shelter, they thought they were the ones making the choice. But as it turned out, the decision had already been made – for them.

“Watching movies has definitely become part of our routine which I could say it’s not daily but it really is.”

But she doesn’t just sit back and watch. Oh no, she joins the adventure. The moment Bagheera and Mowgli appear on-screen, Ella gets up and starts pacing alongside the TV, as if she’s right there in the jungle with them, part of their little crew.
But if there’s one movie that Ella is absolutely obsessed with, it’s The Grinch – but only the Benedict Cumberbatch version. Emily has put this to the test more than once. The Jim Carrey version? Nope. The classic animated one? Not a chance.
But when the 2018 Grinch comes on, Ella is glued to the screen. It’s the one movie that can instantly calm her down, no matter how sassy she’s feeling (which, according to Emily, is pretty often).
Emily joked about her cat’s unusual obsession online, sharing videos of her intense movie nights. Before long, Ella had an audience beyond the living room.
