Ohio Dog Shuts Owner Out, But Watch What She Does When Her Favorite Song Starts Playing
Rosie had made up her mind. She wasn’t budging. Curled up on the couch with her tail tucked and her face turned away, she was in full pout mode.
You know that look dogs give when they want you to know they’re upset? That was Rosie. Every bit of her body language was screaming, “I’m mad at you, don’t even try me.”
But then, just as quickly as the drama had started, everything shifted. A few familiar notes filled the room, and Rosie’s whole attitude melted away in an instant.

Rosie belongs to Kathie, a devoted dog mom from Ohio who shares her home with four gorgeous Australian shepherds: Rosie, Jazmine, Frankie, and Johnathan Paw.
Each of them has their own quirks and favorites, but Rosie’s special “thing” has always been music.
Since she was just a tiny ball of fluff, one particular song has been her weakness: “You Are My Sunshine.”
No matter her mood, the moment Rosie hears it, something sparks inside her. Her tail wags, her eyes soften, and suddenly the world feels right again.
On this particular day, Rosie was angry at her mom.
Kathie had done something, in Rosie’s opinion, completely unforgivable: she’d stopped her from snacking on a baby bunny she’d found outside.
To Rosie, that was the ultimate betrayal. So she plopped herself on the couch and turned her back, determined to sulk for as long as it took to make her point.
Kathie tried calling her name, tried using her sweetest voice, but Rosie was unmoved. She gave Kathie the full side-eye treatment, ears stiff and body rigid.

Kathie captured the whole thing on TikTok, captioning it: “When Rosie was mad at me, but this is her song so her butt betrayed her pouting.”
The internet couldn’t get enough. The video blew up with more than 5 million views, and people flooded the comments with laughter and love.
Rosie is now almost 11 years old, and her playful puppy days are slowing down and she’s showing early signs of doggy dementia.
It’s tough for Kathie to watch, but she does everything possible to make Rosie feel safe and loved.
And when things get hard, there’s always one thing that brings her back: that song. The moment “You Are My Sunshine” plays, Rosie relaxes. Her tail wags, her eyes brighten, and it feels like, for a moment, the fog lifts.
