Farm life often brings a steady mix of hard work and sweet moments, but one Missouri couple has managed to capture something that makes people smile across the internet.

By sharing videos of their daily life with animals on TikTok, they have gained quite the following.

Among their many pets, one cat has recently stolen the show. His name is Sage, and he has become famous for being hilariously jealous whenever his dad pays attention to other cats.

In one video that quickly went viral, Sage’s human dad was holding two other cats in his arms. At that moment, the gray and white cat made his feelings loud and clear. From off camera, the woman in the video commented:

“I think you’ve got a jealous one down there.”

She was not wrong. Sage’s reaction was priceless.

The moment he saw the attention going to someone else, Sage started meowing in protest, his voice carrying that unmistakable tone of feline disapproval.

He even added in a few hisses for good measure, as if to say, “How dare you?” His tactic worked perfectly. Sage’s dad quickly put the other cats down and scooped him up instead.

Once in his dad’s arms, Sage instantly switched gears. The angry meows gave way to soft purring, as though nothing had ever happened.

It was the classic behavior of a cat who knows how to get exactly what he wants. Anyone watching the clip could not help but laugh at his cunning little trick.

The couple often shares snippets of life with their many animals, and it turns out Sage is not just the jealous one but also the biggest baby of their three main cats.

From the videos, it is clear that he is a true daddy’s boy, happiest when held close and given full attention.

Of course, with thirteen cats in total on the farm, there is always a little competition for cuddle time. Each cat has its own personality and its own way of seeking affection.

Still, Sage’s dramatic jealousy stands out, which explains why viewers find him so entertaining.

This also opens up a broader question: can cats really get jealous? While jealousy in humans is a complex emotion, cats do experience a version of it, though much simpler. They live in the present, not dwelling on yesterday or worrying about tomorrow.

What might look like jealousy is often frustration about not getting something they want right away, such as food, toys, or affection.

That was exactly the case with Sage. He wanted to be the one held, and he wanted it immediately. His loud meows were his way of making sure his dad understood the message.

Cats can sometimes show jealous behavior by meowing persistently, pushing other pets aside, or even scratching and biting to get attention.

Owners can usually handle it by simply noticing the behavior and making sure the cat feels included and loved. A few extra minutes of cuddle time can go a long way in easing their frustration.

At the same time, cat parents need to be aware that cats can also fake it a little. They are clever enough to use attention-seeking behaviors to get their way, even if they are not truly upset.

Sage’s quick switch from meowing angrily to purring contently is the perfect example. He knows he is loved, and he also knows exactly how to make sure he gets his share of attention.

In the end, the Missouri couple’s videos remind us of why we love cats so much. They are unpredictable, funny, and full of personality. Sage’s jealous outbursts might be dramatic, but they also highlight the special bond he shares with his dad.

No matter how many cats live on the farm, Sage has made it clear that in his eyes, he will always be the number one.
