Three Struggling Kittens Find Hope And Healing In The Hands Of A Los Angeles Hero
Grace Choi, founder of The Happy Kitty Rescue in Los Angeles, California, knows better than anyone how tough life can be for abandoned and stray cats. She’s seen heartbreak and hope in equal measure through her rescue work.
One afternoon, she received a call from a nearby shelter that needed urgent help. Three tiny kittens were in dire condition and desperately needed a safe place to recover.
Without hesitation, Grace opened her heart and home to them, determined to give the fragile trio a fighting chance.

The three little kittens – two calico sisters and their tuxedo-coated brother – were just two weeks old when they arrived at the shelter.
They were in poor condition, covered in feces, exhausted, and barely hanging on. But Grace knew she had to act quickly.
She brought the kittens home, determined to provide them with the special care they needed to recover. Upon closer inspection, Grace discovered something surprising.
Although the shelter had said they were two weeks old, Grace noticed their premolars had already come in, suggesting they were actually closer to five weeks old.

But their age wasn’t the only concern. The kittens were surprisingly small, weighing only as much as a healthy two-week-old.
This suggested that health issues were hindering their growth. The first step was to give them a bath to wash away the built-up waste.
Once they were clean and comfortable, they were taken to the vet for a thorough check-up.
Fortunately, there were no major health issues, but the vet recommended probiotics to help with their persistent diarrhea.
Grace named them Matcha, Boba, and Strawberry, and despite their health challenges, their true personalities began to shine through.

Matcha, the loudest of the three, loved being held and cuddled. Boba was quieter and tended to keep to himself. Meanwhile, Strawberry was full of energy and enjoyed playfully tussling with her siblings.
As time went on, Matcha formed a special bond with another foster kitten named Pumpkin, and the two were inseparable. Little did they know, this newfound friendship would play a big role in their future.
Once the kittens were healthy, it was time to find them forever homes where they would be loved for life. Thankfully, Matcha and Pumpkin, already best friends, were adopted together.
This meant they could stay by each other’s side, continuing their bond as loyal companions. Boba and Strawberry, who were also close, hated being apart and always stayed together as well.

Luckily, another family was moved by their strong bond and chose to adopt both Boba and Strawberry so they could stay together forever.
It’s truly heartwarming to see these tiny kittens overcome the odds and get a fresh start with Grace’s help and the foster program.
Finding forever homes together is the perfect ending to their story. It’s incredible to see how resilient these little ones are and just how much love they have to give.
