Florida Smushed Face Kitten Found At Just 10 Days Old Makes An Incredible Recovery

This sweet little cat, with her uniquely smushed face, had a bright spark that instantly won people over. There was something special in the way she looked up at people, as if she already understood how precious every bit of love could be.

Her story began when she was only ten days old. She had been found on the side of a road in Florida, tiny, fragile, and fighting with everything she had just to stay alive. 

At that age, most kittens are still completely dependent on their mothers, but this little one was already on her own, holding on with remarkable strength for someone so small.

Fate stepped in when the tiny kitten was taken to a nearby veterinary college, where she caught the attention of a kind-hearted student named Lindsey. 

Understanding that the fragile little one needed round-the-clock care, Lindsey welcomed her into her home and became her devoted protector.

This determined kitten struggled with the difficulty of not being able to eat on her own, so Lindsey stepped in as a devoted caretaker, syringe-feeding her every four hours. 

Before long, it was revealed that the little one had been born with congenital deformities, including a cleft palate.

Because she had been abandoned so young, the kitten had no way to survive on her own. On top of that, she faced upper respiratory infections and a severe case of ringworm. 

Yet with Lindsey’s constant dedication and care, the little fighter grew stronger each day, steadily overcoming the challenges that had once threatened her life.

After a month, the kitten moved into the care of Laura, a devoted foster mom who gave her all the love and attention she had been missing. 

When she was finally ready for adoption, her story had already touched many hearts online, and a caring couple who had followed her journey decided to make her part of their family.

Now lovingly called “Smush,” she lives a vibrant and spirited life surrounded by two adoring humans, three dogs, three fellow cats, and even a hedgehog. 

She’s formed a sweet bond with her animal siblings, especially Candy, a favorite nap partner she often curls up with for cozy rests.

While Smush brings a touch of mischief to the family dynamics, her human mom affectionately shared in a video:

“She has a little black spot on her neck and we call it her “devil’s kiss” because all of a sudden she’ll be purring and the next minute biting you in the face!”
