California Kitten Found In Melted Car Makes A Choice That Changes His Life Forever

A devastating wildfire left a tiny kitten trapped in the wreckage of a burned-out car. When a rescuer finally reached him, the little survivor made a heartwarming choice that changed both of their lives.

The Carr fire was the largest and most destructive wildfire Shasta County had ever seen. Homes were completely reduced to rubble, leaving nothing but devastation in the wake of the flames.

In a half-mile radius of one destroyed neighborhood, searchers found absolutely no signs of life. The landscape was a heartbreaking scene of ash and fallen trees.

Then, an unexpected radio call broke the silence. Someone had spotted a tiny kitten trapped inside a burned-out car in the middle of the destruction.

Pushing Past The Rubble

Within just two days of arriving at the house and meeting his new dad’s wife, Vulcan’s personality blossomed. He completely transformed from a scared, clingy patient into a brave and adventurous kitten.

The Perfect Little Brother

Vulcan’s arrival was especially meaningful for the family’s dog, Cali. The family had never been able to get another dog because Cali played too hard and would often end up injuring herself.
