Every cat parent has likely experienced their furbaby interrupting them at some point while they were busy.
Our feline friends simply love to stick their little fluffy paws in our business, and once they set their minds on something, not even water or dish soap can deter them from getting their way.
At least, that’s definitely the case with the feline star of today’s story.
Ash is an adorable Nebelung cat who loves his dad very much. But more than anything, he loves seeking attention when his dad is in the middle of doing dishes.
Every time his dad is at the sink, Ash jumps right up, ready to ask for some cuddles from his favorite human.
And he has the most adorable way of doing it: With skillful precision, Ash always tilts his head, paws at his dad’s hand, and gazes up with the most loving eyes I’ve ever seen in a cat.
I swear, if one of my kitties ever looked at me like that, I would abandon all my dishwashing chores without hesitation!
One day, Ash’s dad started filming their adorable routine and posting the videos on their TikTok profile.
Many people fell head over heels for Ash and requested more of his adorable videos, so his dad began sharing more, turning it into a cute TikTok series.
Anytime he’s doing dishes, there’s a camera nearby – and of course, Ash, asking for cuddles in his own special way.
Here’s one example of their videos. Isn’t this the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen?
This particular video brought Ash and his dad over 48 million views. Can you believe that?
People really seemed to love it and didn’t hesitate to express their delight in the comment section. One person wrote
“Most affectionate cat I’ve ever seen.”
And my personal favorite:
“That’s your true love from a past life.”
No one really knows why Ash does this. Maybe he just wants his human to take a break because he works so hard.
Either way, I’m happy I stumbled upon this pair on TikTok. Their videos have quickly become some of my all-time favorites to watch.
Here’s another equally adorable video – if the one above wasn’t sweet enough for your taste:
I don’t know about you, but my kitties love to intervene anytime I’m doing something, too. If I’m writing, one of my fluffs is either on my lap – or quite literally on my laptop!
So, if you’re reading one of my stories and spot a spelling mistake – it’s not me, it’s them!
All jokes aside, I love them for their quirky behavior, and I take it as a compliment; they love being in my company, just as I love being in theirs.
And I’m sure Ash’s dad would agree with me on that!
