46 Cats Discovered In Disturbing Hoarding Conditions Inside California Apartment
In Orange County, California, animal welfare officials recently uncovered a troubling case of animal hoarding. Inside a small apartment, 46 cats and kittens were found living in overcrowded and unsafe conditions.

Once removed from the apartment, the cats were taken to the OC Animal Care shelter, where they each received immediate medical attention.
Shelter staff and veterinarians worked tirelessly to check every cat, ensuring they were safe, hydrated, and treated for any health issues.
Fortunately, many of the cats, especially the younger kittens, were found to be in relatively good health, despite their living conditions. With proper care, nutritious food, and space to breathe, they began to recover quickly.
Within days, 35 of the rescued cats were ready to be placed up for adoption.
The shelter encouraged the community to come forward and open their homes to these deserving felines, reminding everyone that adoption not only saves a life but also creates space for shelters to help more animals in need.

Sadly, OC Animal Care has dealt with many similar cases over the years, rescuing more than 200 animals from hoarding situations.
