Mornings can be rough, but for one cat in Tulsa, Oklahoma, they’re a chance to soak up every second with her human, no matter how sleepy she is.
Binx, a determined little feline, refuses to let a cozy bed keep her from spending time with her owner before she heads off to work.
Even if it means battling heavy eyelids and swaying like a tiny, drowsy statue, she’s committed to being there.
Her owner recently caught this sweet struggle on camera and shared it on TikTok, where the internet immediately melted.

In the video shared by @mandystathis, Binx sits on the closed toilet lid, fighting to stay awake while her human applies makeup.
Every blink lasts just a little too long, her head droops before she jerks it back up, and yet she doesn’t budge. It’s as if she’s telling herself, “Nope, must… stay… awake. Human needs me.”
While her owner is getting ready for the day, Binx remains locked in an adorable battle with her own exhaustion, as the sleepiness keeps pulling her back.
Still, she fights through it, determined not to miss a moment with her mom. It’s both adorable and hilarious, and it’s no wonder why people can’t stop watching.

The clip has taken the internet by storm, racking up an incredible 4.7 million views and 1.3 million likes!
Cat lovers everywhere couldn’t resist sharing their own sleepy pet stories, flooding the comments with tales of their own furry companions fighting the urge to nap just to stay close.
Some described their cats pulling all-nighters by their side, refusing to go to bed until their humans did, as one person wrote:
“I pulled an all-nighter on a project my boy was fighting to stay awake all night.”
Another described their groggy pets trailing behind them at dawn, sharing:
“I wake up at 4:30 a.m. and both my cats follow me around the house with a sleepy/angry face like I forced them to get up.”

But why do some cats do this? We often think of them as independent creatures who love their space, but anyone who has a cat like Binx knows they can be incredibly affectionate – just in their own unique way.
Unlike dogs, who might jump all over you to show their love, cats are a little more subtle. They follow you from room to room, settle near you while you work, and, in Binx’s case, give up precious sleep just to be close.
Maybe it’s their way of saying, “I love you, but I’m too cool to be obvious about it.” Or maybe they just don’t want to miss out on anything, even if their eyelids say otherwise.
Whatever the reason, moments like these show just how much our pets truly adore us. Even when they could be curled up in a warm bed, dreaming of treats and sunny windowsills, some just can’t resist sharing even the earliest moments of the day.
And honestly? That kind of love is worth waking up for.
