Supermarket Cat Refuses To Take “No” For An Answer And Keeps Coming Back

Sharing is caring!

Cats never fail to make us laugh, and that’s one of the reasons I love them so much. You’re never bored with a cat beside you, and every cat parent knows that!

They’re always performing some funny tricks, but sometimes they may be a little judgy and persistent. Despite all of that, you can never really get mad at them.

One such cat is this funny cat who likes spending time in the supermarket, no matter how many times he’s been kicked out of it. Still, he returns there and simply judges everyone who passes by.

You can take him outside. You can ask him to leave. But he’ll just come back. Stronger. Angrier. Fluffier.

Where Did This Cat Come From?

A few years ago, a mysterious cat appeared in one of the grocery stores called Sainsbury’s supermarket. What surprised everyone the most, was how persistent he was!

The cat would casually jump on one of the shelves in the store, despite several removals by staff.

Apparently, the cat adored this story despite the fact that he wasn’t welcome there. The staff didn’t want him to be there so they removed him from the store several times. But every time he’s been kicked out, he immediately enters the store again.

Even though the staff didn’t want him to be in their supermarket, the cat soon became a real internet sensation, haunting his favorite store and judging everyone who passed by.

He became so popular that a Sainsbury’s spokesperson had to say something:

“He lives in the house next door and he’s in here every day, all the time. He’s not allowed to be here.”

After becoming an internet celebrity, the cat even earned the title of “Animal of the Week” from Time Out, and his owner finally said something.

His owner was a local resident called Adam Oliver. He said that the Sainsbury cat is his own and that it’s called Olly Oliver. Then he added:

“I’ve told the Sainsbury’s staff to throw him out if too pesky. Olly is always at Sainsbury – I don’t think he can fit any other shops in his schedule.”

However, it looks like most customers loved him. Everyone considered him to be the friendly neighborhood unauthorized shop cat. One of the Sainsbury’s customers said:

“He was flat out on the mat yesterday by the door under the heated fans. Everyone was stopping to give him a tickle.”

If you ask me, I really don’t know what this cat likes so much about this store, but he was definitely attracted to something there.

Although he caused a lot of problems for staff, he became an internet celebrity making many people laugh, including me.

When I look at his judging face, it kind of reminds me of my former cat Mass who would judge me like that whenever he didn’t want to listen to me. Oh, I wonder what we would do without our cats, haha!
