Stray cats are sadly often victims of a hit-and-run. These poor souls are left to fend for themselves on the harsh streets and crossing busy roads can be quite a challenge.
However, what makes my blood boil is the fact that after people hit them with their cars, they just leave them on the streets to suffer in pain.
This is exactly what happened to a gorgeous calico kitten from today’s story, so get ready to hear all about it.
A man was driving home from a night out with his friends when he saw a kitten lying in the street. He stopped his car, confused by the fact the kitten was not running away from all the moving cars.
However, once the man came close he discovered something soul-crushing. The poor kitten was unable to move her back legs, lying helplessly in the middle of the street.
This kind man was completely heartbroken. He tried helping the kitten get up on her little paws, but the poor soul would just fall back to the cold concrete. On top of this, it seemed she was crying from pain…
The man wanted to take her to the vet as soon as possible, but unfortunately, the nearest vet was closed. He took the kitten with him, patiently waiting for the morning to come.
The next morning the vet had some sad news for the kind rescuer. She assumed the kitten was hit by a car which broke her hips and left her paralyzed. She advised him to leave the kitten in the clinic until she recovered.
For almost a month, the kitten was recovering in the clinic while her rescuer visited her almost every day.
This sweet calico beauty recovered from her hip injury, however, she was now a special needs kitten.
The man placed her in a shelter, where she could be adopted into a loving forever home. Hopefully, this sweet kitten will find the best possible forever parents!
