NY Shelter Staff Couldn’t Believe Why This Cat Was Suddenly Abandoned After 7 Years

The orange tabby was brought to New York City Animal Care and Control after spending seven full years as part of a family.

When his owner arrived to surrender him, staff were stunned by the explanation.

She shared that her family was buying a new couch, and they decided it would be easier to give up their cat than risk damage to the furniture.

At just three months old, Tim was placed with a loving family, hoping this would be the home he could finally call his own.
