Brianna had always loved cats, but her past relationships made it difficult for her to fully embrace that love. Previous partners didn’t share her affection for felines, and she was even banned from having cats.
For years, it felt like a part of her heart was missing. Then, she met Horacio, a police officer with a soft spot for rescue animals, and everything changed.
When Brianna shared her past experiences with Horacio, she didn’t expect how he would respond. Instead of shying away or ignoring her love for cats, Horacio leaned in – literally.
He surprised her by rescuing kittens and bringing them to her, knowing how much joy they brought into her life. What began as a small gesture quickly turned into something much bigger.
They soon started fostering kittens together, building not only a life with each other but also one where they could give animals in need a second chance.
In a heartwarming video, Brianna shares how Horacio once brought home five kittens to foster.
That first night, as they watched the kittens adjust to their new surroundings, Horacio cuddled them all and even fell asleep with them curled up beside him.
For Brianna, that was the moment she knew he was the one, as she put it:
“That’s when I knew that Horacio was a keeper.”
Horacio’s biggest green flag? Rescuing kittens.
While her past relationships felt restrictive and sad, especially with her love for cats being dismissed, Horacio embraced it completely. In fact, most of the kittens they foster are ones he personally rescues during his work as a police officer.
He shares that his love for animals wasn’t always something he could fully express, but now, through fostering with Brianna, he’s found a way to make a difference for both the animals and their relationship.
Since Horacio wasn’t allowed to have cats and Brianna grew up with them, it felt like they were a match made in heaven.
Horacio often works alongside animal control, rescuing helpless kittens from dangerous situations and ensuring they find safe, loving homes. Brianna says that fostering and adopting animals together has transformed their lives for the better.
Now, the couple’s life revolves around their pets, including their own beloved cats and dogs. While fostering kittens brings them immense joy, saying goodbye on adoption day is always tough.
However, their own pets provide comfort, and they take pride in knowing they’re making a real difference.
The love story between Brianna and Horacio doesn’t stop there. The two recently got engaged and are now planning their future together, filled with love for each other and their furry companions.
After buying their first home, the very first thing they plan to do is build a “catio,” an enclosed outdoor space where their cats can safely enjoy the fresh air. Horacio is already researching and watching videos, excited to bring their dream to life:
“First remodel to the house is getting an outdoor catio for our cats.”
For Brianna, this journey has been nothing short of magical. From feeling like something was missing in her past relationships to finding someone who not only accepts her love for cats but shares it wholeheartedly.
She has truly found her perfect match. Their life together, filled with love and kittens, is exactly what she always dreamed of. As Horacio shared:
