A couple of months ago, a man driving his car noticed a plastic crate on the side of the road with peculiar fuzzy lumps inside.
Intrigued, he pulled over to inspect the crate, unprepared for the shocking discovery inside.
Believe it or not, nestled inside the crate were four tiny, black kittens, not more than weeks old!
Heartbroken by his discovery, the man immediately contacted All Creatures Great and Small, the local animal sanctuary, asking them for help.
In an interview, the sanctuary’s manager, Angharad Williams, recalled the moment they received the call, describing how the news devastated the entire team. She said:
“My heart sank [and] I immediately thought, ‘How could someone do this to them? How could they just abandon them and walk away with no care in the world?’ It was sickening.”
They wasted no time arriving at the scene and rescuing the poor babies. Then, they promptly made arrangements for their care at the sanctuary.
Upon their arrival, the kittens were immediately examined by the vet, who estimated they were around six weeks old – still too young to be separated from their mother.
The tiny fluffballs, three boys and one girl, were initially terrified of humans but soon relaxed and got used to the new environment.
Quickly, they let their guard down, gaining confidence and becoming the sanctuary’s sweetest kittens. As Williams put it:
“They are now very happy [and] thriving in our cattery. The girl is very calm [and] keeps to herself, whereas the boys play fight all day. They are so entertaining to watch and [they] now adore human contact.”
The sanctuary’s staff named the kittens after famous Slytherin house members from the Harry Potter series: Severus, Draco, and Salazar for the boys, and Bellatrix for the girl.
These adorable furry wizards are now in great health, thriving under the care of true purrfessionals who are dedicated to finding them forever homes.
I hope these adorable fluffs find their forever homes soon and enjoy a life filled with the love and affection they truly deserve!
