Kitten Dumped At A Georgia Factory Goes From Forgotten To His Own Cat Mansion
Ravioli went from a dirty, abandoned kitten behind a piece of machinery to the king of his very own pecan tree estate.
A Heartbreaking Discovery At Work
Workdays usually follow a predictable routine, but for a woman named Lisa, one shift changed everything. A coworker approached her with some troubling news about building two.
“Hey Lisa, there’s a kitten in building two,” the coworker told her. He suspected that someone had cruelly dumped the helpless animal there.
Lisa immediately went to investigate the area. Tucked away behind a heavy piece of machinery, she spotted a tiny, frightened face.
It was a little orange kitten, completely alone in the industrial setting. People unfortunately had a habit of dumping animals in that area, and this little guy was the latest victim.
Washing Away The Past
The kitten was in rough shape when Lisa pulled him from his hiding spot. He was incredibly dirty and covered in thick industrial grease.
Knowing he couldn’t stay there, Lisa made the easy decision to take him home with her. The first order of business was a much-needed bath to wash away the grime of his abandonment.
Once he was clean, his true personality began to shine through. He was a sweet, affectionate boy who was ready to embrace his second chance.
Lisa named the handsome orange boy Ravioli. Despite his rough start, he held no grudges and quickly proved that he had plenty of love to give.
Settling Into Family Life
Ravioli adapted to his new home with surprising ease. He was an incredibly social creature who absolutely loved everybody he met.
He even formed a fast friendship with the family’s dog. For a while, Ravioli lived as a traditional indoor cat, enjoying the warmth and safety of his new family.
But as time went on, Lisa and her husband noticed a shift in Ravioli’s preferences. The orange cat started showing a strong desire to spend more and more time outside.
Living on a sprawling 13-acre property, there was plenty of nature for a curious cat to explore. Ravioli was a bit of a loner at heart, and he loved having his own space in the great outdoors.
The Favorite Pecan Tree
Out of all the places on their massive property, Ravioli gravitated toward one specific spot. He found a beautiful old pecan tree and claimed it as his own.
He would spend hours climbing its branches and resting in the shade. Lisa’s husband watched the cat’s daily routine and got a brilliant idea.
Wanting to make Ravioli’s favorite hangout even better, he decided to build the cat a custom staircase. The wooden steps led right up to the top of the tree where Ravioli loved to perch.
But the loving cat dad didn’t stop there. Seeing how much Ravioli adored his elevated spot, he thought, “Well, why don’t I put a house up there for him?”
A Custom-Built Feline Estate
Lisa’s husband dedicated himself to the special project. He spent about two weeks carefully constructing an amazing, custom-built treehouse just for Ravioli.
The finished product was a feline masterpiece, perfectly nestled among the branches of the old pecan tree. It gave Ravioli a safe, elevated place to watch over his kingdom.
Now, Ravioli spends the majority of his time in his personal estate. He looks completely content living in the trees, enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful views.
At night, when the sun goes down, he retreats inside his cozy treehouse to sleep safely above the ground.
Room Service For A King
Even though Ravioli loves his independence, he is still very much a pampered house cat. Lisa makes sure he is treated like absolute royalty.
Every day, Lisa walks out to the pecan tree to bring Ravioli his meals. The lucky cat gets his food hand-delivered right to his treehouse.
Along with his personalized room service, Ravioli also receives regular grooming sessions out in the yard. Lisa brushes his beautiful orange coat to keep him looking his best.
It is the perfect balance for a cat who loves the outdoors but still enjoys the comforts of a loving family.
Coming Down For Love
Despite his loner tendencies, Ravioli never forgets the people who saved him. He is always thrilled to see his mom and dad.
As soon as he spots Lisa and her husband stepping outside, he starts meowing with excitement. He doesn’t stay up in his tower when his favorite humans are around.
He immediately scampers down his custom staircase to visit them. He loves to say hello and soak up all the affection they have to offer.
“He’s just the cutest thing ever,” Lisa shares, cherishing those sweet moments when her independent boy comes down for some love.
Vacation Homes And Happy Endings
While the pecan tree is his main residence, Ravioli has other options when the weather turns bad. Lisa and her husband set up heated cat houses on their back porch for the chilly months.
If it gets too cold, Ravioli knows he can always retreat to the porch to stay warm. But as soon as the weather clears, he heads right back to his happy place in the trees.
He even has a “vacation house”—another treehouse out in the woods that Lisa’s husband originally built for their daughter. Ravioli occasionally wanders out there to use it for a change of scenery.
Looking back at the greasy, abandoned kitten she found behind a machine, Lisa couldn’t be happier with how his life turned out. “I’m just so glad I found him that day at work,” she says.
