California Man Spends Over $50K On Rescue Cats, You Won’t Believe What He Created

Peter Cohen isn’t just a skilled home builder; he’s a total cat lover. And he’s gone all out to make his house the ultimate playground for his furry friends.
Honestly, it’s a feline paradise, and his cats are absolutely over the moon.
He’s invested thousands of dollars and countless hours creating a space where his cats can roam, explore, and just be themselves.
Peter’s heart has always been with rescue animals, and his home is now filled with 15 cats, each with their own rescue story.

When Peter and his roommate first moved into their new place, they discovered two stray cats had already claimed it as their territory.
They naturally took them in, but sadly, one of the cats was hit by a car and didn’t survive.
That heartbreaking loss inspired them to adopt even more cats from local shelters, expanding their little family.
Over time, their home grew crowded with furry friends, including Chocolate, Cheesecake, Butter, Nutter, Poppy-Seed, Rumple, Crumple, Cookie, Coffee-Bean, Noui, Kuro, Wasabi, and Donut.

Each addition brought joy and personality, turning the house into a lively, happy chaos of whiskers and purrs.
Every room in Peter’s house flows into the next, creating endless opportunities for exploration and play. Bridges, spirals, tunnels, scratching posts, you name it, Peter has built it all.
It’s like a funhouse designed entirely for cats, where every corner holds a new adventure.
Peter has spent years carefully designing this vibrant, playful environment, complete with catwalks, ramps, perches, and cozy nooks

They focus on taking in kittens that others might overlook, especially those who have been traumatized or neglected.
The project came with a hefty price tag, around $50,000.
But Peter has no regrets, as he shared in an interview:
“Way more expensive than a sane person would build, but I didn’t care. I love my cats, my house, and art, so I designed it to be beautiful to me.”

For Peter, the joy is not just in the design but in seeing his cats happy and safe, as he explained:
“Giving rescued cats a better life means giving them a place that is solely their own. They give us unconditional love, and building the catwalks is one way of expressing my gratitude for that.”
Every time he watches them explore a new perch, curl up in a cozy nook, or chase each other through the tunnels, he feels a deep sense of fulfillment.
Peter often says his cats bring his house to life, turning his home into a place that’s lively, comforting, and full of love.

Peter’s dedication really shows what love and creativity can do for animals in need. His commitment shows that with care and effort, rescued cats can have a life full of fun, comfort, and adventure.
