Ohio Man Stops To Help Tiny Kitten By The Road And Is Left Completely Stunned By What Happens
Robert Brantley, a professional rifle shooter and father of two, found himself caught in the sweetest surprise during a routine trip to the shooting range.
What started as a simple rescue mission turned into an adventure full of heartwarming moments that will leave you smiling all day long!
One day, while heading to the shooting range, Brantley noticed a tiny stray kitten by the road. Without hesitation, he stopped his car to help, unaware that this little act of kindness would lead to something even bigger.
As he stepped out of the car, turned on his camera, and began calling to the kitten, it immediately bounced up in response. As Brantley picked up the kitten, he worried about its safety.
What happened next was beyond anything he could have expected. As Brantley focused on his heartwarming rescue, a small army of kittens emerged from the grass, each cuter than the last, meowing for attention.
In a matter of seconds, thirteen kittens surrounded him, looking up with pleading eyes. In the video we hear him say:
“Oh, no, there’s a whole, oh, my gosh! I can’t take y’all. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh, there’s more! We got a kitten problem!”
Though initially overwhelmed by the sight of so many kittens, Brantley was shaken by the thought of them being abandoned.
“Who would do this? I thought I was saving one. Hot diggity dog.”
Despite his initial reaction of not being able to take them all, Brantley couldn’t bear to leave them behind. He decided to bring the entire group home with him, even though it wasn’t an easy task.
As he tried to place each kitten into the car, they kept wriggling out. To keep them safe, Brantley rolled down the windows and carefully closed the door, knowing they were too small to escape.
When they got home, Brantley gave the kittens a warm bath and took them to the vet for check-ups. They were all in good shape and hungry.
“They’re all here at the house; they’re all doing good. The first time I fed them, they fought like they had never eaten a bite of food before.”
The kittens quickly became part of the family, even befriending Brantley’s two dogs. The whole group played together in the yard, creating endless joy for the family.
Brantley shared his rescue story online, and it quickly went viral, with millions of views. He was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and appreciation from his followers.
“It’s amazing that not only people saw it… But took the time to reach out and thank me and all that, but there’s no need to thank me. I don’t know anybody who wouldn’t have done that, I don’t know who could leave them or pass them up after seeing them.”
As the kittens grew, Brantley began looking for loving homes for them. Offers poured in from all over the country, with many people wanting to adopt pairs to keep them together.
“We had a lot of really good people that are local reach out wanting them, and a lot of people are wanting to do pairs to keep them together, which I’m pumped about.”
Brantley was thrilled by the support but couldn’t deny the bond he had formed with the kittens.
When it came time for the adoptions, Brantley realized he couldn’t part with the entire kitten gang. So, he decided to keep the very first kitten he rescued, Scout, along with two of the most playful siblings.
They now have a forever home with Brantley and his family.
Thanks to Brantley’s kindness, all the kittens are now thriving in their new homes, far away from the harsh conditions of the street.
