Puppy yoga is already a recipe for smiles, but recently, one session at Muskoka Puppy Yoga turned downright hilarious.

If you’ve never been, imagine a calm yoga class, mats neatly lined up, music softly playing, and suddenly, dozens of wiggly, playful puppies invading your space, climbing onto mats, and stealing the spotlight.

The class began like any other, with participants stretching and focusing on their poses. But then, one tiny goldendoodle pup spotted something shiny in the corner, a giant mirror.

For this little furball, it wasn’t glass. It was a brand-new playmate, copying every move he made.

The pup approached his reflection with full confidence, convinced he’d found a best friend. He pounced, slipped, rolled, and jumped again and again, throwing himself into a nonstop play session with the “other puppy.”

Mats were forgotten, poses abandoned, and everyone’s attention shifted entirely to the mirror-bound mischief.

The instructor, Erin Gorrie, tried to keep the class going, but the room couldn’t resist the chaos. The sight of the determined pup wrestling with his reflection had everyone laughing. Erin shared in an interview:

“It was one of those perfect, unfiltered moments that captured the joy we feel in every session, the kind of spontaneous, heart-lifting energy that happens when people and puppies come together in the most genuine way.”

The video of the mirror moment went viral almost immediately. Over a million people liked it, and more than 11 million viewers watched the tiny goldendoodle go to town on his reflection.

Comments flooded in, many noting just how impossible it was to focus on yoga with that much cuteness on display. One viewer joked:

“I kind of feel sorry for the instructor. There’s no way I’m not watching that dog.”

All the pups in these classes come from ethical, loving breeders who prioritize their wellbeing.

Muskoka Puppy Yoga offers a safe and cozy environment where humans can stretch, breathe, and let go of stress while puppies roam freely, nap, and occasionally nuzzle participants mid-pose.

Behind it all is Erin Gorrie, a former police officer who now dedicates her days to creating joy and healing through puppies.

Attendees often arrive with anxiety, stress, or grief, but a puppy jumping into your lap or rubbing against your hand can instantly lift your spirits.

And the young pups benefit too, gaining confidence and socialization in a safe, playful environment. These sessions are essentially puppy playdates with a purpose.

Of course, with so much adorable chaos, focus can be tricky. Erin admits:

“It can definitely be hard to concentrate with puppies running around, but that’s kind of the point.”

The goldendoodle and his mirror twin were proof. Sometimes, joy doesn’t come from grand gestures or accomplishments, it comes from a small, furry ball of energy reminding everyone that happiness can be simple, playful, and irresistibly cute.

This session captured everything people love about puppy yoga: laughter, connection, and the kind of magic only a handful of playful pups can bring.
