If you think you’ve seen everything, just wait until you meet Eeyore, a very odd-looking feline whose life turned around once he got into the right hands.
Though he’s not old, he looks like an old gentleman, at least that’s what everyone who meets him says.
He is an unusual but happy feline who loves sleeping more than anything in the world. However, Eeyore’s life wasn’t as peaceful as it is now.
Eeyore is a gray feline with big green eyes, saggy skin, and folded ears, but he has no tail. While no one knows where his looks came from, one thing is for sure – it helped him find a forever home.
Eeyore was a street cat living a rough life until he was finally rescued and given a second chance.
His human, a dedicated cat parent, came across Eeyore’s photo on a rescue page on Facebook, and she instantly fell in love with him. Eeyore’s human said in an interview:
“Eeyore’s unusual looks are what made me adopt him in the first place. As soon as I saw that face, my heart melted.”
The woman knew such unusual cats are the least adoptable, and she was right, saying:
“Luckily, I was the first in line for adoption, so I ran to get him.”
The woman joyfully brought Eeyore to his new home, but their beginning wasn’t quite easy.
A harsh life left a huge mark on Eeyore; he was very shy and scared of being touched. However, his owner refused to give up on him. She was extremely patient, constantly reassuring him she was his friend.
Slowly but surely, Eeyore relaxed, and his true personality began to blossom. He began enjoying pets and brushes and just couldn’t get enough love and attention.
When he’s not enjoying brushing time, he’s sleeping so hard that his snores always wake his human up.
Besides finding a forever human, Eeyore also got a feline companion, Pongo, with whom he instantly bonded. His human shared:
“I had another cat in the house, Pongo. Pongo is very gentle so he took to Eeyore right away trying to get some loving from him and Eeyore just couldn’t resist.”
Eeyore and Pongo rarely leave each other’s side. They cuddle together, nap together, and sometimes even play together.
Seeing Eeyore open up brought incredible joy to his owner. She added:
“My care and Pongo’s affection helped Eeyore open up. He became much more confident.”
Thanks to this kind-hearted woman, Eeyore is living a happy life. No one knows what he has been through, but what matters now is that he is loved. His human said:
“He probably has many stories to tell. Hopefully, our story is his favorite.”
