Hearts Melt When Oregon Rescue Dog Once Used For Breeding Turns Into The Sweetest Daddy’s Girl
You know those stories that just make your heart melt instantly? Well, Beverly’s story is one of those.
She’s a tiny French bulldog from Oregon who went from being forgotten in a cage to living her absolute best life as a full-blown daddy’s girl. Let me tell you all about it.
Before she had a cozy home and her favorite human to cuddle with, Beverly’s life was anything but easy.
She came from Los Angeles, where she was used for breeding and then discarded when her body could no longer handle it.
When rescuers from Northwest Dog Project found her, she was in rough shape. She was weak, hurting, and scared.
They rushed her to an emergency vet, where she had surgery to save her life and remove a mass from her leg.
Even though she was tiny and fragile, Beverly’s spirit was incredible. She didn’t stop fighting.
When she finally made it to Oregon, it became clear just how much her tiny body had endured.
Her legs were bowed, her spine wasn’t quite right, and she could barely walk far without needing a break.
Her skin and ears were in poor condition, too, the kind of issues you see in dogs who’ve never been cared for properly.
But even then, Beverly’s eyes still had that spark. It was like she was still hoping that maybe, life was about to get better. And it did.
That’s when Lindsay and Jeremy entered the picture. Lindsay had just gone through the loss of her dog, Beth, a three-legged cancer survivor she’d loved for years. She didn’t think she was ready for another pup, but life had other plans.
Friends kept sending her Beverly’s rescue posts, saying the little Frenchie reminded them of Beth. So Lindsay and Jeremy decided to go meet her.
They drove two hours to Eugene, Oregon, and the moment they met Beverly, everything changed.
The tiny dog was shy, still healing, and unsure of what to expect. But after just a few minutes, she walked right up to Jeremy, climbed into his lap, and stayed there like she had finally found where she belonged. Lindsey shared in an interview:
“We both just melted, and took her home that day.”
The first few days were full of new experiences for Beverly. She had lived most of her life in a cage, so walking on soft grass or exploring wide-open space was a big deal.
But slowly, she started to trust her new world. And somewhere along the way, she became totally obsessed with Jeremy.
One day, Lindsay peeked around the corner and caught them together, sharing:
“This was the moment I knew he was taking a break from his office after lunch, and I heard her little feet running on the couch. I peeked around the corner, and, sure enough in Beverly fashion, she forces her way on his lap. And Jeremy, being a softy, immediately puts his computer to the side to give her love.”

People from all over the world fell for Beverly’s story. They saw a dog who had suffered so much but still had endless love to give.
Now, Beverly spends her days running around the farm with her sister Billie, another rescue from the same organization. She’s healthy, spoiled, and surrounded by love.
Every time Jeremy walks into the room, she wiggles her little body from excitement. She’ll hop up next to him, demand cuddles, and if he’s working, she somehow always ends up in his lap.
