That’s exactly what happened when people got their first glimpse of Albie – a pup with the most unexpected combination of features. At just two years old, he’s already an internet sensation, and it’s easy to see why.
Albie is the result of a dachshund dad and a rottweiler mom. And the outcome? A pup with a big, adorable rottweiler face perched on a long, low dachshund body.
With his short little legs, sausage-shaped body, and a personality that’s twice the size of his frame, Albie is as lovable as he is unique.
He was part of an “accidental litter.” However, if you ask anyone who has met him, they’d say he was meant to be. Albie is a walking contradiction in the best way possible!

“I really enjoy when I come across an unusual dog, and I’ve ever met one quite like Albie. He thinks he’s one of the big dogs, but he also thinks that he can prance about and play flight with tiny ones like this.”
When Kylie saw just how extraordinary Albie was, she couldn’t help but share him on social media. His one-of-a-kind looks and playful personality quickly captivated people from all over.
But Albie isn’t just an internet star – he’s a heart-melter in real life, too. Kylie recalled how she once took him to visit her grandmother’s nursing home, hoping to brighten her day.
What she didn’t expect was that Albie would end up charming the entire place. The residents couldn’t stop laughing at his unique look, and just like that, he turned an ordinary visit into something unforgettable, as Kylie shared:
“They absolutely loved him, and it gave them a little laugh to see such a unique mix.”
Albie’s magic doesn’t stop there. Even strangers on the street can’t help but stop and ask about him.
One time, when two men in a work van literally pulled over just to figure out what kind of dog he was, since they had never seen anything like him before.
