Couple Goes To See Adoptable Cats And One Cat Clings Onto The Woman Refusing To Let Go

Sharing is caring!

A couple from Washington State visited a local store to check out some cats up for adoption, and one cat decided he wasn’t letting them leave without him.

He decided his time at that store was up, and he was determined to get himself a family one way or another!

Andy B. and his partner, Jessica Parken, were at a small local store when a big tabby cat caught their eye.

Both of them are huge cat lovers, so they couldn’t resist giving the kitty some attention. But as soon as Jessica picked up the tabby, he wrapped his paws around her and buried his face in her shoulder.

This sweet cat held on tight, rubbing his face against hers as she gently petted him. Unfortunately, the couple has a 19-year-old cat at home who needs all their love and attention, and they knew he wouldn’t do well with a new cat around.

Plus, Clutch prefers a home without kids, but they have a toddler. Jessica was devastated, as she shared on Facebook:

“He’s been there for two weeks because apparently he isn’t good with other animals or kids. I wanted him so bad and I wanted to name him ‘Clutch’.”

It was heartbreaking to leave without him, but they decided to do everything in their power to help him find a good home. As Jessica said:

“When I had tried putting him back he legitimately clutched onto me and I shed a couple tears. It broke my heart that he wasn’t home with me.”

So they shared a video of her holding Clutch in their local Facebook group, hoping it would help him find a family. Just look at how tight he’s holding onto her, how desperately he needs attention:

Not long after, locals fell in love with him, and many planned to visit the store just to meet this sweet cat. When Jessica went back to check on Clutch, she saw that many people had come to the store because of their post.

“They were flooded with people coming in and calling. A stack of applicants were in.”

And then, the good news came: Someone adopted him!

“This magical beast has found a home! The adoption sign is down!”

Jessica may not have been able to adopt him herself, but she did everything she could to help him find a loving family.

How amazing is that? It’s so nice to hear that there are still people out there like Jessica and Andy, who are willing to go to such lengths just to help out an animal in need. Thanks to them, this tabby sweetheart found his forever home!
