Let’s give a warm welcome to Nepo Kitty! Carrie Bradshaw took her sweet time considering adopting a pet, but Sarah Jessica Parker was all in from the get-go.
In Season 2 of “And Just Like That…,” Carrie’s got a new fur baby in her life, courtesy of her friend and colleague Che Diaz – a darling kitten named Shoe.
Parker spilled the beans on Tuesday that Shoe, aka Lotus, is now part of the Parker-Broderick crew.
They snagged the kitten from the humane society, she shared, and now it’s rubbing paws with her two other cats in their West Village digs.
Parker captioned a whole slideshow of Lotus’s pics.
“If he looks familiar, that’s because he is. His off-camera name is Lotus.”
She went on:
“He and his siblings were all given botanical names when they were rescued as newborns by the @cthumanesociety. Adopted officially by the Parker/Broderick family in April 2023. He joins Rémy and Smila who we adopted in May 2022. X, SJ.”
Kristin Davis, Carrie’s co-star from “And Just Like That,” chimed in with a “Love [him] so much,” and Jessica Seinfeld dubbed the Parker-Brodericks an “A+ Cat Family.”
From the very beginning when “Shoe,” also known as Lotus, made his debut on the show, Carrie’s character didn’t appear too thrilled about him. However, it’s clear that in real life, Sarah Jessica Parker was determined to strengthen their bond.
Little by little, even Carrie fell head over heels for the cat. From the series to real life, Parker and Lotus have become the best of friends.
