NY Woman Stumbles Upon A Photo Of Shelter Cat With Big Cheeks And Turns His World Around
Sometimes, love appears when you least expect it. For Amber, a simple scroll through social media turned into a life-changing moment, all because of a round-faced, chubby-cheeked cat named Grizzly.
She spotted him on a post from Lollypop Farm, an animal shelter in New York, and couldn’t look away. His enormous, round cheeks and gentle eyes immediately tugged at her heart.
Grizzly hadn’t had an easy life. He’d been found wandering the streets, likely injured by a car, weak and in pain.
On top of that, he was battling an upper respiratory infection, dental issues, and the effects of severe malnutrition. But despite his poor condition, there was something special about him.
Beneath the exhaustion and sadness, Grizzly had a gentle nature that shone through. The shelter staff quickly fell in love with his quiet sweetness and determined spirit.

In just a few days, Grizzly made himself at home. He loved napping on laps, following his humans around, and chatting with his distinctive meows. They quickly renamed him Mr. Jenkins, a name that matched his old-soul personality perfectly.
“We like to say he has the personality of a million cats wrapped into one. He gives us actual hugs with his paws. He became attached at our hips and a permanent staple of our family.”
Now, Mr. Jenkins spends his days lounging in sunny spots, demanding chin scratches, and reminding his humans how lucky they are.
