Colorado Fosterer Welcomes Furry Family Into Her Home And One Nebelung Kitten Steals The Show

Sharing is caring!

Heide Shoemaker, a well-known cat rescuer from Colorado recently welcomed an adorable furry family into her home.

A cat mama and her adorable three kittens were rescued from the cold and rainy Colorado streets.

Desperately needing a foster home, Heide decided to take them in until they would be ready for their forever homes.

Naming the rare Nebelung mama cat Misty, she soon figured out she could name the kittens according to a weather theme. And the names fit them perfectly, I have to admit!

Stormy, Rainy, and Breezy slept most of the day, while mama Misty made sure they were well-fed and groomed.

Slowly, the kittens were growing and becoming more aware of their surroundings. One of the kittens named Rainy, also a nebelung kitten, was way ahead of her siblings.

She was a feisty little furball, with one lazy eye that made her look even more adorable! She would crawl around to get to her favorite toy, jump all over her siblings, and meow her lungs out whenever she had something to say!

While her adorable siblings were snoozing all day long, this little rascal made sure to always find a way to entertain herself.

Mama cat Misty was way too tired to scold her for her mischievous behavior, so foster mama Heide had to step in.

She would spend hours playing with Rainy, making sure the little one gets all her energy out.

This sweet furry family took over the hearts of Heide’s followers on Instagram, and who could blame them?

Many of the followers were concerned about Rainy’s lazy eye. Although her cross-eyed appearance made her even more adorable, people were concerned if it was an underlying health issue.

Fortunately, Heidi explained that most kittens with lazy eyes simply outgrow it and it’s a perfectly normal condition.

The furry family will stay with Heide until they are big enough for adoption. But Heide hopes to adopt mama Misty along with one of the kittens since she is extremely bonded with them.

Hopefully, they do find a loving forever home soon enough, and I firmly believe little Rainy will remain a feisty bundle of energy!
